Every year on March 24, the United States people have an unofficial observance that is dedicated to paying homage to one of the most popular regional fast food in America that has its roots in Philadelphia. The cheesesteak is best made by combining frizzled beef, onions and cheese wrapped in a small loaf of bread.

The history of the delicious cheesesteak sandwich can be traced back to 1930 when a South Philadelphia hot dog vendor, Pat Olivieri, who decided to put some slices of beef he got from the butcher on his grill. A cab driver noticed the startling smell of the beef, asked for his own steak sandwich and the rest is history. Today, there are a whole lot of restaurants that have included cheesesteaks in their menu.

However, with time, ingredients of the cheesecake was changed to become the amazing finished product that we know today. The use of uncooked cream filling on top of crackers is the American version of the cheesecake while the English version of the cheesecake is well cooked and possesses a dry texture.
